The Static turbine system is a current ongoing project with the aim to make wind turbines more efficient utilising the static electrical charge that builds up due to the friction of wind on the blade.
Solar orb is another forward thinking concept which has the potential to become more effective and more compact than solar panels without the requirement of mining dirty minerals.
